The Canopy system is a wireless broadband technology that provides high-speed internet access. It is cost-effective in providing “last mile” access to residents & businesses living in remote areas where infrastructure is non-existent.

What are the transmission speeds for the Canopy systems?

The raw data rate is 10Mbps. The effective total throughput, point-to-point Backhaul Unit is 7.5Mbps. As shipped, this is divided equally in 3.75Mbps in each direction.

How is the Canopy System different from other broadband technologies?
A:
The Canopy system is different from other broadband technologies. It uses the 5GHz unlicensed UNII band saving ISP providers from having to bid to use more expensive radio spectrum licenses which in turn saves money for the end-user.

What is the maximum number of users that a six-sector system can serve?
A:
A basic six-sector Canopy system can serve approximately 1,200 users. Each Access Point (AP) is capable of supporting 200 users. Each six-sector system contains six APs.
