LENS The Canopy LENS Antenna enables service providers to provide reliable data and VOIP services in areas that could not previously be reached due to range limitations. By increasing the range and focusing the antenna beam, the LENS allows service providers the ability to reach more subscribers and results in a reduction of external RF noise. This compact yet durable product easily mounts directly onto existing Canopy radios and requires no additional mounting hardware.

With this accessory and proper system planning, Network Operators can more than double the connection distance from an Access Point (AP) to the Subscriber Module (SM). Distances may vary based on terrain and other Line-of-Sight issues.

Effectively reduces latency by one-third (from approximately 20 milliseconds to 5 to 7 milliseconds).

Overview :

Canopy™ Lite Subscriber Modules (SMs) are designed to help network operators convert dial-up subscribers to broadband simply, quickly and profitably. The Canopy™ Lite SMs work in concert with the Canopy Advantage Access Points and deliver speeds of 512 Kbps throughput with 768 Kbits burst and a maximum of 100 Kbps full duplex Committed Information Rate (CIR). These SMs offer substantially lower costs with the same high performance, reliability and interference tolerance for which the Canopy systems are renowned.

Easily integrated into your Canopy network, Canopy™ Lite SMs are highly scalable. They are available in the 2.4, 5.2, 5.4 and 5.7 GHz frequency bands. In addition, they can be software upgraded to add incremental throughput (to 1, 2, 4 or 7 Mbps) quickly and economically.

Motorola Wireless Broadband PMP 100 series systems are total broadband access solutions designed for extending networks wirelessly to provide broadband services to virtually any customer in virtually any environment. These systems provide wireless Ethernet connections which can be used to transport voice, video and data in channelized or unchannelized formats. Modules are available to support Line of Sight and Non-Line of Sight point-to-multipoint last mile access solutions. Motorola's Software Maintenance Program provides customers with extended and enhanced support beyond the standard 12-month warranty period. The program is designed to help optimize ongoing network performance with fast, knowledgeable technical assistance and up-to-the minute downloads of new software releases. This Software Maintenance Program is available for purchase for Motorola Fixed Point-to-Point wireless Ethernet bridges and Fixed Point-to-Multipoint systems. If your Motorola products were purchased within the last 12 months of a service request, they are still under their initial warranty. No Software Maintenance Contract is necessary.

Its breakthrough map-based visualization capabilities use embedded Google maps, and combine with advanced configuration, provisioning, alerting and reporting features to empower network managers to holistically control the network’s Mesh Wide Area Networks and WLAN access layer, Point-to-Multipoint distribution layer and Point-to-Point backhaul layer. Built-in Security and Optional AES Encryption
Because each radio is pre-programmed with the MAC address of its matched partner, the two ends of a link will communicate only with each other eliminating "man in the middle" attacks. Each matched pair also employs a complex scrambling mechanism that offers a high degree of security for over-the-air transmissions. In addition, you can choose to augment these security capabilities with FIPS 197 compliant, 128-bit AES encryption.

* 5.4 and 5.8 GHz Connectorized: These models combine the technology of the Integrated versions with the high-gain advantage of external antennas. Over long distances and in extremely adverse environments, including deep non-line-of sight, these solutions let you connect over greater distances with higher reliability and speed than comparable bridges.


Integrated Lightning Protection Built-in lightning protection capability means that no external lightning protection device is needed at the top of the tower or mast. An external PTP Lightning Protection Unit (PTP-LPU) is required at the cable entrance point leading to the indoor network. (Note: 100 percent protection is neither implied nor possible.)
